childless by circumstance
A Founder's Story
After over a decade without success, I was forced to accept the painful fact that I had reached the end of my family building journey spanning over a decade. The drive to procreate is powerful and tied to a woman’s identity and perceived value in society. Like many women who were unsuccessful in their fertility journey, I felt like a failure and carried this pain within me and rarely spoke of it. Well intentioned family and friends never asked me about my multiple miscarriages and failed IVF cycles which deepened my isolation. There was no community of women or couples that I could turn to for support. Despite being a common and universal phenomenon, infertility remains a taboo subject that is not openly discussed. According to the World Health Organization, 1 in 6 people globally is affected by infertility.
I founded XoVo Health to build a supportive and inclusive community that demystifies, educates, elevates, and gives voice to millions of women and couples, in varying stages of their family building journey. Knowledge is power which is why education, tailored for each generation, is at the foundation of XoVo.
We are at a pivotal crossroad in society with women, across generations, challenging societal perception of a woman’s identity, redefining the traditionally narrow definition of families, and demanding greater representation in legislation, healthcare and research. Reproductive health education and treatment solutions have not kept pace with revolutionary changes that are underway.
Our goal is to be a trusted partner throughout the full continuum starting with the exploration of fertility to family building and partner with pioneering researchers to unlock the mysteries of reproductive health that benefit humanity.
